Fall.DS

Hi Friends, happy Sunday afternoon! I inked up this cute CTMH scarecrow stamp a few weeks ago and colored it while I was at my local Card Club meeting. Today I had a chance to make it into a card. I used the Deconstructed Sketch 120. I used MME paper, a MFT leaf shaped die to cut the burlap, twine and some buttons.
I'm playing in The Pink Elephant Challenge too. This week is Stripes and Dots, which I have both of on my card.

Sunflower and Fall Challenges

Hi Bloggers, I'm throwing my hat into the ring on a few challenges for Fall. The first one is the Curtain Call-Sunflower Challenge. Have you seen the beautiful cards in the gallery of submissions? So nice!
I combined my Flourishes Sunflower stamp with the Deconstructed Sketch 119. I also used the new Echo Park Reflections Fall paper. Everything was going great making this card until I tried to sew on it. Grrrrr... my machine skipped some stitches! So mad but decided to leave it because perfection can't always be achieved. sigh. A cute wood butterfly, twine and some sequins finish it off. Links are below.

Thanks for stopping by! Kim :)

Catered Crop-Packaging

Hey Friends, I'm going to a baby shower tomorrow so I jazzed up a gift bag with a homemade tag. Yes, I have shown this card before, a few months ago. The focus of this post is the bag and tag. I had the Catered Crop in mind while making it, their challenge is "Pack it up", some kind of packaging.
I hand cut the tag with my trimmer, added some patterned paper from Fancy Pants and a stamped element. The alpha stamps I used to stamp BABY are a non-brand. I don't know where they came from. The welcome stamp is CTMH.
After I set a large eyelet in the tag, I tying it on with some bakers twine and added a grograin bow.

TPE,Sent.Sundays-Bugaboo

Hey there, I'm playing in a few challenges and making my boss a birthday card. You just can't beat a Bugaboo stamp for a man card! I love them. And so funny! I started with a recent Verve Diva Dare sketch but changed it up somewhat. I added some cute Basic Grey Oxford paper and a few Spellbinder Wonky Rectangles. The hemp twine is from CTMH.
Thanks for stopping by! I may be back tomorrow with another card. :) Kim

SFYTT-Masculine

Hi Peeps, how's your week going? I broke out my Simple Stories paper to make a masculine birthday card for my Nephew. It was fun to use these papers with the preprinted elements and the Sketch for you to Try for September. Most of the ink distressing is printed on the paper but I did add a little Antique Linen Distress Ink. The background was embossed with a Cuttlebug Diamond Plate EF.

Flourishes Get in Shape Challenge

Hi Cyber-friends, how are you this day? Besides remembering 9/11, I'm pretty good! I made this card for the Flourishes "Get in Shape" Challenge. You could win the September release if you play along so that's what I did! I used last year's Flourishes Fall stamp set and made a shaped card with Spellbinder dies.

I must not have had my glasses on when I photographed this card, it's blurry. lol

I used the Echo Park Recollections Paper, Copics, Gold ribbon and gold pearls. Note to self, use a different color on the corn husks next time!

Flourishes

Add caption
Hi There, Bloggers! I'm playing in this weeks Flourishes Timeless Tuesday 236, use 2 ribbons. I did that by using a wide sheer ribbon with an olive green satin ribbon on top, down the center of the card. I used Lily Bee paper and some May Arts natural twine.
How about this beautiful Apple branch stamp? So pretty and so fall like. I tried my very best to color the apples. I'm going to Copic Certification soon and I hope to improve coloring stamps like this.
I also used the "out of the box technique" to cut out the apples and layer it on the scalloped oval. The stamps is quite large so the card is 4.75 x 6.
Thanks for visiting. Hope you had a nice weekend!

Just call me Grandma!

Hi there! I dusted off my Cricut last week. I don't have a pregnancy stamp set so I thought I'd make a card with "New Arrival" Cricut Cartridge. I can't remember if I mentioned on my blog yet that I'm going to be a first time Grandmother! I'm thrilled for my daughter and her husband as they take on their new journey. I'm thrilled for me too!! Can't wait to hold that little Bambino!

My card is fairly simple. Just an A2 sized card base with some layered mats. From the Simple Stories Summer Fresh 6x6 pad, I cut out one of the journaling cards, matted it and layered my pregnant girl on with some foam tape. Before doing that, I notched a space in the top of the base with a SU slot punch for my double twine bow (the Twinery) to sit. I also laid down a MS doily. Then added some red pearls. Easy peasy! I popped it in the mail today so she can get a little surprise snail mail.
