Thank you Grill Master

Hi Friends, long time no see! Well a few weeks anyway. I have been enjoying summer. I have a masculine card to share today. My local Card Club is having a cookout party in September. One of the ladies husband will do the grilling for us and we will bring the sides and desserts. I made this card to thank him for grilling for us.

I wanted to keep it super clean and simple but I may add a few wood veneer stars or something. I colored a  Mo's Digital Pencil image with Copics and cut it out with a Lil Inkers Stitched Rectangle die. Then I set it on a 4.75 x 6" base matted with Basic Grey PP. I needed some extra room for signatures. Inside I put a white mat on the top and bottom of the card base and stamped a cute SSS sentiment, Yay, you're the best! The Thank you on the outside is Hero Arts.

I'm entering it into the following challenges:

Mos digital challenge 267- Anything Goes w/ Mo's image.
Die Cuttin Divas 281 -Anything goes (with a die cut)
Cards 4 Guys -The letter "F", Fire, Face, Flip Flops
One stitch at a time Challenge 269 Anything Goes/For Men

SSS Wed.Challenge

Hi Friends, I finally had a chance to stamp a new to me Avery Elle Stamp set I bought called "Happy Camper". Super Cute! I thought it could qualify for the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge called Lets Go Wild. Camping out under the stars in the wilderness is a form of Wild, right?

This week I watched Kristina Werner make a cool sky using Antique Linen, Tattered Rose, Seedless Preserves and Chipped Sapphire Distress Inks so I gave it a try. It came out cute and matched my pink accents on my camper. I used the tree dies from another Avery Elle set called Snow much fun.

And these stars! Oh so cute, from Pretty Pink Posh. I see lots of card makers using them this week.
That's it for now, Is it beastly HOT where you live? It's unbearable here.
Thanks for visiting.

Case this Sketch 183

Hey Friends, I'm loading up a summer card today that doubles as a birthday card. I'm playing in this week's Case this Sketch 183. As I was trying to design a totally different card with the flip flop stamp from Simon Says Stamp, the CTS sketch popped into my head and I saw flip flops in place of the hearts. I quickly switched gears and made up 2 of these since I needed a couple of quick birthday cards.

I'll be in a big push now to use my summer stamp sets before time gets away. These were a snap to make with the Simple Stories Snap paper. I stamped the flip flops, cut them out and adhered them to a Lil Inkers stitched rectangle of white card stock. After stamping the sentiment I added small gems and they were done!

Thanks for stopping by. See you soon!

CAS Shark Card

Hi Friends, I'm playing in the CAS Colours and Sketches Challenge-184 challenge to complete a masculine birthday card.

I had gotten this adorable Avery Elle "Hello Chum" set recently and need to ink up the cute shark. I love the punny sentiments in the set! I colored my shark with Copics and fussy cut out.

Following the sketch I simply cut a SSS stitched circle and backed it with a piece of card stock. I then layered some Simple Stories PP on the card base, added thin strips of red cs and added the center panel with foam tape. I will add some sequins or enamel dots later because it's a little plain.

Anyone who's seen the movie "Jaws" will know this play on words from the famous movie line "we're gonna need a bigger boat!"

Some other challenges this fits are:
AAA Cards Stitching
The Paper Players  Tic Tac Toe -I used masculine, red & die cut
